亙丂FAQ丂亜

Q. Patents are powerful. But patents may not fit with licensing terms of Java and Eclipse.

A. For clear explanations, three categories are introduced.

General users, who use products by Java and Eclipse, can also use products based on our patents.

Developers, who develop products by Java and Eclipse, can also link their products with components developed based on our patents by others.
(Note) All software, including Java and Eclipse, are linking with many components arround operation systems, such as printing, communication and other device control components. It is obviously that these components have many intellectual property rights of others, such as patents.

Patent holders, Athena Telecom Lab, Inc. and other patent partners.

丂丂Athena Telecom Lab is a Developer and a Patent holder, and do not consider patent enforcements before phase 3 to re-develop all components by C++. License holders of Java and Eclipse may not infringe our patents.
丂丂Unfortunately, if infringements are found, there may be a patent litigation. At that time, Athena Telecom Lab probably loses the right to use developing environments of Java and Eclipse. However, our C++ components of Phase 2 and 3 have no relations with licensing terms of Java and Eclipse and still regal products.
